All it took for Jen Wood to get hooked on climbing, was one of her friends to decide to throw their ninth birthday party at a climbing wall. That was it and from that point on Jen was nothing short of obsessed with the climbing scene, two years later (and at only eleven years old) she entered her first indoor competition. From then on she has spent every free minute scaling the walls of the UK, often training twice a day in the pursuit of refining her already unbelievable skills. The hard work has clearly paid off for Jen as she is now battling to earn her spot at the 2020 Olympics, where climbing will be included for the first time.
@jenwood435 might actually be Spiderman (or more accurately spiderwoman). If you want to get a taste of just how hard those boards, are try hanging from a door frame and you'll quickly understand. Earlier this week Tim and I popped in to see Jen in her final training sessions at the @depotleeds ahead of the British Bouldering Championships this weekend. #climbing_is_my_passion #climbing_pictures_of_instagram #climbing #bouldering #training #escalade #klettern #chiacharged #climbergirl #girlswhoclimb #manchester #strength #brandofthebrave #sweaty #thisgirlcan
