    Protein Crispies Recipes

Below are some delicious recipes to try with our protein crispies.

    Cadburys Crispy Cakes

    Ingredients:

    • Soya Crispies: 170g
    • Chocolate (Cadbury's or your favorite brand): 200g
    • Coconut oil
    • Pinch of salt (optional)

    Instructions:

    1. Gently melt the chocolate in a bowl over hot water or in the microwave. Avoid overheating.
    2. Add the coconut oil and stir gently until well combined.
    3. Gradually stir in the Soya Crispies and add salt if desired.
    4. Spoon the mixture into small paper cupcake cases.
    5. Refrigerate until set. If you can wait, leave them out for about 20 minutes before eating!

    Biscoff Bites

    Biscoff Bites

    Soya Crispies   100g

    Biscoff Spread  200g

Basically you melt the spread you can use a bowl over hot water or the microwave and then mix in the soya crispies.

Then ( i cool the mixture a little bit) shape them into little balls or discs and place them on greaseproof paper in a tub, or get an ice cube tray ( give it a light spray with some oil) and press the mixture into the cube shapes.

Refrigerate for an hour and they are ready to go.

They are very moreish, you might like to double the quantity because you might eat loads yourself 🤣

    Cheesy Protein Bites

    Cheesy Protein Balls

    Crispies  25g

Cheddar or your vegan cheese of choice 80g

    Sea Salt & Ground Pepper

    Parsley fresh

Sweet Potato Cooked   170g cooked (250g raw weight)

    Garlic

Cook the sweet potato , I just use the microwave, and then scoop out the insides with a spoon, this makes a slightly drier mash, and not as soggy as when you boil sweet potatoes.

In a bowl with the cooked sweet potato, combine the other ingredients, then shape into small balls twice as a big as a malteser, about 20mm. They don’t have to be perfectly round, a bit rough is perfect.

Pop them in the air fryer for 8 to 10 minutes and serve them with salsa and sour cream dip.

To be fair these don’t hang around long

    Crispy Thai Protein Balls

    Thai Protein Bites

    Soya Crispies 60g

    Blue Dragon Thai Paste   50g

Cannelini Beans (1 tin drained) 250g

5 g each sesame and onion/nigella seeds for decoration

Mash the cannelini beans together with the Thai paste, it doesn’t need to be a puree, just get the paste well mixed in. Fold in the crispies well, then form into small balls and roll in the seeds,  if you want them to stick even better, you can dip into a light batter of your own choosing with egg/ or egg replacer.

Mine stick pretty well without a batter, then air fry around 190 for 8-10 minutes.

These are a pretty low fat snack or meal accompaniment, I recommend serving them with a Raita and Sweet Chilli Sauce to add some contrasting moisture. I ate a plate of these when we were doing the pictures for this page!
